Lindsay Lohan Still Being Pursued by DA in Battery Investigation
Lindsay Lohan might want to make the most of her time as a free woman, because the Riverside County District Attorney's Office has its eye on her, big-time.
Radar Online reports that the 24-year-old actress–who was recently released from a lengthy rehab stay at California's Betty Ford Center—is still being investigated by prosecutors over an alleged physical altercation on December 12 with former Betty Ford employee Dawn Holland.
According to a source, several prosecutors and investigators met early on Wednesday and decided to further investigate the alleged incident, in an effort to determine whether the Just My Luck actress could be charged. The investigation will be conducted by the DA office's own investigators, rather than the Palm Desert Police Department, who originally responded to the alleged incident.
As was reported yesterday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden Fox reviewed the case earlier this week, and decided to take no immediate action on the matter, pending any decision by the DA's office.
Holland—who was let go from Betty Ford after publicly speaking about the incident—has claimed that Lohan physically attacked her after returning from Betty Ford after curfew. Lohan has disputed this account, claiming that Holland got physical with her first. Holland has subsequently stated that she doesn't wish to pursue charges against Lohan.
