Emmy Rossum Talks 'Silly' Sex Scenes With 'Vegas'
In Vegas, Rossum opens up about her career and scandalous role, which has her taking on some pretty steam situations and scenes. Of going for broke in a sex scene, Rossum tells Vegas:
It’s like, OK, time to take my top off ... the whole thing is so silly that if we weren’t so comfortable with each other it would be really uncomfortable ... It’s definitely an acquired experience. You look over and the camera guy is very politely averting his gaze between takes.Rossum, who's 24 and most recently was romantically linked to Counting Crows singer Adam Duritz, continues talking about the show's sex-themed situations, saying that “Sex is meant to feel good, and she wants to feel good. Her [Rossum’s character-Fiona Gallagher] life is so s----y in so many ways. Some people use alcohol, some people use gambling-and some people use sex.”
And don't think this is some over-the-top, big budget blowout of a show. Rossum says they “get no hair and makeup at all; they frizz out my hair a little and rub mascara around my eyes, and that’s it.” Still, she enjoys the no-frills way the show operates, calling it "liberating."
