Ryan Murphy: Kings of Leon is 'Self-Centered' for 'Glee' Diss
While some musicians beg to be part of the phenomenon that is Glee (like Paul McCartney), others have been vocal about making sure their music stays far away from the hit FOX show.
Glee's creator, Ryan Murphy, recently sat down with The Hollywood Reporter and chatted about those who passed on the show as well as the future of show.
A few months ago, the indie band Kings of Leon famously declined to have their music featured on Glee, which didn't sit too well with Murphy:
"They’re self-centered assholes, and they missed the big picture ... They missed that a 7-year-old kid can see someone close to their age singing a Kings of Leon song, which will maybe make them want to join a glee club or pick up a musical instrument."To which the band replied:
"We’re not sure where the anger is coming from"To check out what other acts have been blacklisted from the show, as well as the rest of the interview, head over to The Hollywood Reporter.
