Ryan Murphy: Kings of Leon is 'Self-Centered' for 'Glee' Diss
Glee's creator, Ryan Murphy, recently sat down with The Hollywood Reporter and chatted about those who passed on the show as well as the future of show.
A few months ago, the indie band Kings of Leon famously declined to have their music featured on Glee, which didn't sit too well with Murphy:
"They’re self-centered assholes, and they missed the big picture ... They missed that a 7-year-old kid can see someone close to their age singing a Kings of Leon song, which will maybe make them want to join a glee club or pick up a musical instrument."To which the band replied:

hello? Kings of Leon should not be such hypocrites to snub Glee. It's hilarious that they turn down the hit TV show, yet gladly allow their songs to be on car commercials. Ugh. Funny how they rip off U2's music, but not their social responsibilities as rock stars.
