Lindsay Lohan at Center of 'Stolen' Necklace Drama
Lindsay Lohan is once again being investigated by the legal system, this time for a purported stolen necklace.
The Los Angeles Police Department had issued a search warrant for Lohan's home after she allegedly stole a necklace worth $2,500 from a store. TMZ reports that the claim was filed by a store owner last week, who claims Lohan tried on the expensive accessory in the store and walked out with it. Even more, she says there's video of Lohan wearing it before exiting.
Police did indeed search Lohan's abode, but the necklace was returned to the store before they arrived.
Lohan has reportedly denied any wrongdoing in the matter, saying that the store owner is "nuts" and that she never stole a necklace.
The drama comes at a time when Lohan had seemed to be in a transitional period in her life. On January 3, she was released from the Betty Ford Clinic treatment center after being ordered by the court to spend more than three months in rehab following probation violations. Since her release, Lohan has made few public appearances and has yet to do a major post-rehab interview.
