Lauren Conrad Angry Over Abandoned Reality Series
Lauren Conrad is upset, and she's not going to suffer silently.
The former Hills star has lashed out at MTV after the channel decided to abandon plans for a new reality show starring Conrad. And now Conrad has issued an angry statement to Us Magazine, slamming MTV for trying to inject more of her "personal relationships" into a series that was intended to chronicle her professional exploits.
Conrad's statement reads,
"We sold a show to MTV, filmed it and are really proud of the final result. MTV felt the subject matter was too high brow for their audience and offered me the opportunity to change the show by incorporating more of my personal life. We agreed going into the project that this show would be an aspirational one, focusing on my career and my goals and not my personal relationships. We delivered the show that we sold and are sorry MTV didn't feel their viewers were savvy enough to appreciate it."MTV viewers, insufficiently savvy? Them's might be fightin' words, Ms. Conrad...
