It's all about choice. Choose to eat that sweet, juicy walmoeetrn or peach over those crackers and bread. What's that saying, You are what you eat. Would you rather be a sweet Georgia peach or a french fry? Now is the best time of the year for indulging in summer fruits, vegetables and leafy greens. Watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, peaches, cherries, papaya, mango, banana, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, oranges, grapefruit, pineapple, summer squash, bell peppers, (zucchini, yellow, etc.),kale, romaine, red and green leaf lettuce, dandelion greens, baby arugula, fresh basil and other herbs, and soo many more! Eat fresh organic fruits and veggies. Grill some veggies such as red bell peppers whole, corn on the cob with a squirt of fresh lemon juice or lime juice and sprinkle of chili pepper, grilled asparagus with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, a lowfat vegan burger now and then loaded with fresh tomato slices and chopped romaine or kale, a mound of sauteed (spray the pan, don't add oil) green bell peppers and sweet onions, a dab of Nayonnaise on a grilled keiser roll. Make delicious green smoothies (google recipes)! Enjoy crisp, dark leafy green salads with sweet baby tomatoes, crisp cooling pale green cucumber slices, a sprinkle of fresh basil or cilantro or parsley or other, and a lowfat low sodium dressing you like on top! Or squeeze a lemon on top or blend fresh raspberries on top! Try blending a small handful of fresh macadamia nuts with a juicy piece of pineapple and a little water for a delicious dressing! Make fresh juices like carrot/apple/ginger or apple/celery or a million others if you have a juicer! (I recommend Breville juice Fountain). Buy some juice recipe books! Organic fuji apples and other apples are wonderfully crunchy and satisfying and great for inbetween snacking. At night when you want to reach for the ice cream or make a huge bowl of pasta, reach for sweet, fresh walmoeetrn instead. It's very hydrating, too, and one of the things that will make you feel hungry all of the time is dehydration. Buy sparkling mineral water in glass bottles such as Perrier and sqeeze half an organic lime into it! Take it with you when you go out! Also, start small with working out. Take walks with your dog if you have one every day twice daily minimum. Do 10 lunges on each leg, some squats, some bicep curls with a small dumbell, a few crunches. Gradually you'll start finding it easier and will be able to do more. Say you do 10 crunches on one day. Aim for 15 the next day! It's all about CHOICES. Aim to do better every day. Record what you ate each day to hold yourself accountable. Make the decision now to choose the healthier and fresh food rather than the packaged, heavily processed, high sodium or sugar, frozen or boxed food . Make the decision now to do some easy exercises. No one is forcing you to do it. Do it because you choose to and want to feel great and look amazing!Start shopping at your local natural food store and farmers markets. Aim to eat more vegan foods and cut out the animals and dairy. Your heart and arteries will thank you, your skin will thank you, your waistline will thank you, and the animals will thank you. You'll have far more energy to wake up and move more, you won't wake up with puffy eyes and skin, or with unexplainable irritable mood swings, and you'll feel so much more alive!!
