Lady Gaga's New Single 'Born This Way' Out Friday
According to Lady Gaga (via Twitter), her highly anticipated single "Born This Way" is coming out Friday, February 11, two days earlier than scheduled, because the superstar says she cannot contain herself any longer. The plan had been to debut the track on Sunday before the Grammys where she's scheduled to perform, but now her fans will get to digest the monster track over the weekend.
Can't wait any longer, single coming Friday. Many radio stations nationwide have already announced that they'll debut the song on the 11th. If you're lucky enough to be in earshot of Pennsylvania's 96.1 KISS come Friday, they are playing the song at the top of every hour all day.
Over the weekend, British musician Elton John, who recorded a duet with Gaga for Gnomeo and Juliet, compared her personality to ex-Beatle John Lennon in an interview with The Daily Mirror.
I love her, she's absolutely amazing. We've become friends. What I like about the Gaga most is that she's amazingly polite and respectful to everyone around her. What I loved most about John Lennon is that he was like that. He once gave my mum a lift to the airport and came to my agent's wedding. The Gaga is like that."That makes two times old acquaintances of the late songwriter have made a comparison. Yoko Ono told reporters in December, "I think she's wonderful. John would have loved her, because she's an artist, she's fearless and she pushes every limit, which we both always adored." Lady Gaga got to know Lennon's widow when she performed with the Plastic Ono Band last October. Months before, in July, their son Sean Lennon tweeted a photo of the singer sitting at John's legendary white piano.
