Rihanna To Soften Restraining Order Against Chris Brown
Two years after their infamous fight, Rihanna and Chris Brown may be one step closer to reuniting.
Rihanna's lawyer, Donald Etra, tells E! that the 22-year-old singer is seeking to downgrade her restraining order on her former beau to a level one restraining order. This would mean that Chris could have contact with RiRi but only if he agrees to not annoy, molest or harass the "Rude Boy" singer.
At the moment, Chris is bound by a court-ordered restraining order to stay at least 50 yards away from Rihanna. Such restraining orders are common after a significant other has been charged with domestic violence.
Chris Brown famously beat up Rihanna on the eve of the 2009 Grammy Awards. On June 22, 2009, Chris pled guilty to felony assault and received five years probation.
For Chris to receive the softened restraining order his lawyer, Mark Geragos, will have to appear in court to have the order officially modified by a judge. There is no word on when Chris' lawyer will seek the modification.
Either way, Rihanna and Chris won't be meeting up any time soon– RiRi is scheduled to perform at the Grammys on Sunday but Chris won't be attending the festivities due to a previous engagement.

Rihanna and Chris have said that they both want to put the domestic violence incident behind them. Chris recently completed his court-ordered anger management training and Rihanna has called the constant questions about Chris "annoying."
