i agree that he deserved to win. i'm a true belieber and i will believe in him forever but he can't keep on winning all of these awards so easily. if he does then he will have the fame go to his head and he won't try as hard. he now knows that he has to try harder until he achieves his goal. he WILL win a grammy, but there are people out there that have more talent than justin bieber, but he should have at least one an award at the grammys...he will next year though! we just need to believe in him forever until he achieves all of his goals. <3 you justin drew bieber! sad to see justin was robbed he deserved the award for his effort and all of the work that he has done - his lifes work now this goes back to his dream and wanting this on his own from when he was a toddler this other person has not done/accomplished half of what he has and was given the award. just because you have skills and are good on an instrument - the bass does not make you best new artist especially when you aren't even known. she's had 3 albums out yet we still don't know of her that tells you something this is scary and makes me lose faith in the academy. I'm sure she's good though and shes' worked hard yes for her dream not to discredit what she done. still Justin is the one we know of believe in and love he should have won for many reasons. there is a whole lot more to the honor of a best new artist. you can't just be good.

but who is she if shes so good certianly we would have known of her by now but their is a reason we have not and it ain't because shes not popular not saying she is not good and that she has not worked hard regardless the grammys sucked this year it was such a waste of time major upset in manny countless ways. outside of this category we have the wrong people winning in many places. we have people being so called winners the above a clear example being given the award we don't even know of them album of the year who were they? The real talent singers and winners got snubbed big time bruno mars, cee lo, rihanna etc. they are the real singers/entertainers they were not recognized nothing new with the grammys though they get it wrong a lot unfortunately nora jones lots of grammys one year you don't hear from her now days. disappointment big time just sayin' kind of makes you lose faith in the academy.

Bravo to the Grammy Academy! The right person won for new artist, Ms.Spalding. The Music academy is not about who's the most popular, it's recognizing the Elite and Ms.Spalding is just that, one of the Elite. I erge these young people who are bashing Ms.Spalding to buy her cd and listen to a different genre of music, it's absolutely amazing. (This is what real music is all about), it's not popcorn music, it's jazz at one of it's best! Mr.Bieber is a good entertainer and singer, but, I wouldn't call him the best

Does anyone here actually know anything about Justin Bieber? He has a lot of talent, his childhood videos prove that. I realise a lot of his current music appeals to teen girls, but talented he is. (And by the way, I'm not a teenager). Speaking of clever marketing: Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Rhianna, need I go on? Can they sell records just by their talent? That remains to be seen, because they cover up any talent/lack of talent with so much cr*p.

Couldn't you easily say the same for Esperanza Spalding; that she has worked very hard her entire life? And what?? He's only sixteen; he's barely been alive. Now I'm no better; I don't even know who she is. I know who Justin Bieber is, but only because of the clever marketing that he's been in. I don't know. Its not a big deal; he's young, he'll come out with new albums, and maybe for once they'll be good as oppose to his usual annoying songs that seem to get caught in your head due to unoriginal lyrics and poppy beats.
