Good news for superhero fans: Former Friday Night Lights star Adrianne Palicki has been named the new Wonder Woman!

According to Variety, Adrianne, 26, will play the superwoman in a new NBC reboot of the iconic ’70s TV show. David E. Kelley (the man who brought you The Practice and Ally McBeal) will serve as executive producer.

The original Wonder Woman ran from 1976 to 1979 and starred Lynda Carter and the crime-fighting, invisible jet-riding superwoman.

Adrianne is best known for her role as Tyra Collette on NBC’s Friday Night Lights. Adrianne also appeared in Legion and the short-lived FOX show Lone Star.

Wonder Woman has been experiencing new-found fame with make-up giant MAC releasing a Wonder Woman-inspired make-up collection earlier this year.

Now when can Adrianne get her hands on that infamous invisible jet?
