My milk ran out at 23 months. I think I cried hdarer than my daughter did. I went back to work full time when she was 12 weeks old but I pumped and it worked out really well. She is 4 and a half now and asks me sometimes if I have any milk for her. She still thinks my boobs are hers. LOL. My sister tried with both of her kids she had no milk for the first and second baby would not latch. So she pumped some but it never worked out for her. She was bummed but her kids are just fine. It is not for everyone.
