Welcome to Celebuzz’s new feature, The Meet & Greet, where we sit down and chat with rising young stars of film, television and music before they hit the big time. Watch out for these future A-listers!
Ryan Lutz (no relation to Kellan) is an East Coast native who, at only 19, is primed to make his mark on the music scene. Some Celebuzz staffers are already swooning over this country cutie, so we’re super stoked to exclusively premiere his new video "She Knows."
Watch the video below, plus learn more about Ryan in our Q&A:
Who is your musical crush? Taylor Swift is definitely my musical crush! She seems so down to earth and sweet, it really shows through in her songwriting.
What’s on YOUR iPod? To be honest, the majority of the music I listen too is rap, which confuses most people because it's so different then the music I’ve personally been putting out so far. I really listen to everything and anything. I'm really into Mumford & Sons and Kid Cudi right now.
Who would you most like to collaborate with? I would love to switch it up a bit, and maybe work with someone unexpected from a different genre, somebody like Kanye; he's a genius when it comes to production.
When did you know that music was your thing? I've always loved writing for as long as I can remember. When I started putting songs together in high school, I realized this was definitely something I could see myself doing for the rest of my life.
What’s is your Favorite TV show? Being from New Jersey I have to say that I have never missed an episode of Jersey Shore!
We all have our bad days, how do you get over yours? Writing has always been a way to solve anything for me, whether I’m in a bad mood, or I just need some sort of stress reliever, if I write a song it usually help sort things out.
Are you single? If not, what are you looking for (wild side, smarty pants, etc.)? Right now I am single! I just look for somebody that's fun, and that can be like a best friend. I think for a relationship to work you have to be able to do the craziest, goofiest things together, but still have a great time.
