Do you have a favorite “sneak” exercise?
My personal favorite is “Move with the Phone” [a short series of exercises during phone calls]. If you’re using a mobile phone or a cordless handset you shouldn’t have any trouble taking a few steps back and forth. Walk up and down the stairs for a higher calories burn.
In your opinion, what is the #1 myth about weight loss?
I believe the most misunderstood facts surrounding the issue of weight loss must be the topic of fad diets. Surprisingly many people remain conditioned to believe that fad diets work for permanent weight loss.
How are these types of quick-fix diets harmful?
Fad diets often promise quick weight loss or tell you to refrain from certain foods in your diet. They’re potentially unhealthy because they may not provide all of the nutrients your body needs. Also, losing weight at a very rapid rate (more than 3 pounds a week after the first couple of weeks) may increase your risk for developing health complications. Diets that provide less than 800 calories per day could also result in heart rhythm abnormalities, which can be fatal. The mindset of the desperate weight loss brigade is in dire need of a radical change!
