Russell Brand, Jennifer Garner, Helen Mirren & More at 'Arthur' Premiere (PHOTOS)

It's been a good week for Russell Brand! His movie Hop was number one and breaking records at the box office last weekend, and on Tuesday night he was in New York City for the premiere of Arthur. Jennifer Garner, Helen Mirren, and Greta Gerwig also star in the film and were in attendance tonight at Ziegfeld Theater.

So who was Russell's date for the evening? Hint: It wasn't wife Katy Perry.

Instead, five lucky fans! Russell tweeted earlier today:

"Going to the cinema to see #arthur. It's the premiere. I can smuggle 5 people in- if dressed appropriately. See you at the premiere."

Judging by Brand's @ replies, he is a man of his word telling fans to "show" his response to them and they can walk right in. Love it! Also love that Russell really appreciates the opportunity he has been given. The comedian also shared this on the social networking site:

"9 years ago I was a junkie. Today am going to #arthur premiere & my wife just sent me a photo with Frank McAvennie. There is a God."

We wish Katy (who was performing in Scotland) was able to be with her man on the carpet tonight but will just have to settle knowing she wished him the best. Check out more stars at the NYC premiere of Arthur!
