Why is Pettyfer getting a bad rep?
Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do? Alex Pettyfer don’t blink when it comes to the subject of his bad boy status in the new VMAN magazine, nor does he offer any apologies. Swoon?

In an interview sprinkled with profanity, the Beastly actor likens Hollywood to a prison and says (jokes?) that he has the words “thank you” tattooed above his crotch. “In case I forget to say it,” he explained while winking.

How does he react to being called a “bad boy?”

“I’ve heard I’ve been called a bad boy, or difficult. Maybe that’s because I don’t take any bulls—.”

He also calls Hollywood a cesspool!

“L.A. is growing on me a little bit but it’s still a s**t hole. I think it’s this insidious pool where nearly everyone lives in fear. Geographically it’s fantastic, but socially it’s disgusting. I wish they’d run all the [expletive] out.

And finally, the 21-year-old compares Hollywood to a prison:

“Being an actor is like being in prison. You go, you serve your time, you try and replicate Johnny Depp’s career and then you move to Paris.”

Good luck with that, Alex! The young actor has a far stretch to go before he earns a reputation like Johnny and can carry a multi-million dollar franchise on his shoulders, but he’s already proven a favorite among celeb gossips for his wild antics and smoldering good looks. Who doesn’t love a bad boy?

He’ll be back on the big screen in the Sci-Fi thriller Now with Olivia Wilde and Amanda Seyfried.
