'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2' Trailer Released! (VIDEO)
The end is near for the Harry Potter film saga, and fans are getting their first look this morning at the trailer for the final movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
Though little can be learned from the trailer, its visual effects and sense of finality are the real draws. Also a big lure: Harry face-to-face with Lord Voldemort in the showdown that's been 10 years in the making. The blistering effects give a glimpse into the apocalyptic finale of the series, and fans even get to see cameos from favorite characters like Tonks and Molly Weasley.
If you thought the Potter fervor has died down, consider this YouTube commenter's scribe after watching the trailer: "After 10 year, 4,100 pages ... 17 hours and 32 minutes of movies ... there is only 2 and a half hours left ... untill the journey ends... Thumbs up if the magic of Harry Potter will never end in your heart!"
Earlier this week, Celebuzz caught up with the film's star Daniel Radcliffe, where he told us a funny story about his reaction after hearing that J.K. Rowling might be penning another Potter book.
“I was worried! I texted her. I said, ‘Look, is this true? Are you writing another book?!’” Radcliffe told Celebuzz at the Gotham Magazine cover party in Manhattan at the 2011 summer opening of Salon de Ning rooftop on Monday night. Hours later, Rowling finally responded.
“She wrote back that she was so pleased with my performance in Harry Potter 7: Part 1 that as a reward, she promised to never write another book about Harry,” Radcliffe revealed with a sigh of relief.
Part 2 opens on July 7.
