Lacey’s Low Down: ‘DWTS’ Week 7 Recap — Raunchy Ralph Macchio!
So, Monday night’s show was pretty interesting because there was a guest judge with a “legends” theme, and the guest judge just so happened to be my uncle! His name is Donnie Burns and it was so cool to get to see him on it and have family there.
Also in addition to the regular dances were were two different group dances featured since we’ve finally hit the halfway mark!
So how are things looking now that we’ve reached that point in the competition?
Kirstie Alley & Maksim Chmerkovskiy:
Kirstie got out there tonight and she was just hilarious. She had a couple minor flubs and told me, “Lacey I’m doing your dance — the jive! You’re so good at the jive! I wanted to do it because of you!” Then she came up to me after was said she was so embarrassed but she had no reason to be, she still did great.
Romeo & Chelsie Hightower:
He did pretty good tonight. The judges were a little iffy on the choreography and the routine, but he did a good job overall. He was sporting a uniform, so it was just really fitting considering the events of the past couple days. He was hot every girl loves a man in uniform!
Ralph Macchio & Karina Smirnoff:
Ralph got his first ten which was really exciting! Him and Karina did a really fun quickstep. It was very cheeky and you got to see Ralph’s naughty side. Karina and I nicknamed him Raunchy Ralph which is so just so funny and ironic because he’s so wholesome.
Kendra Wilkinson & Louis Van Amstel:
Kendra did good, but she was a little sticky in areas. I feel like she’s finally letting loose and just having fun with it. It is really cool to see her enjoying herself. And she did fart on national television, so I have to applaud her for that! I’m not even kidding, it was so hilarious!
Chelsea Kane & Mark Ballas:
They did a techno-ish paso doble. I thought it was cool and I personally enjoyed it and got it, but I think the judges weren’t as happy with it. Len and Donnie didn’t really like it but Carrie Ann and Bruno did, so their scores got a little messed up. but they’re young and edgy and it’s who they are. They should be judged on their technique and not what costumes they wear or the music they choose.
Hines Ward & Kym Johnson:
Hines got a ten tonight! He’s tied for first place with Ralph, and there’s just nothing bad to say about him. He does such a great job and him and Kym’s chemistry is just awesome.
Team 1: Hine & Kym, Kirstie & Maks, Kendra & Louis:
Team 2: Ralph & Karina, Chelsea & Mark, Romeo & Chelsie:
Technically, team 2 did the better job but I thought that both were really fun. I think the young energy of team 2 helped them out a lot, but like I said both did a good job.
We’re really getting down to the wire! Can’t wait to see what happens next week! Until then! XOXO
