Kate Hudson caught in a love triangle! Watch »

Summer movie season is slowly getting underway, and for the first big(ish) weekend it's a classic guy versus girl showdown.

Friday May 6 marks the debut of big budget comic-book-turned-movie Thor (starring Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman) as well as the novel-turned-bona-fide-rom-com Something Borrowed, starring Kate Hudson.

So, does Something Borrowed even stand a chance against Thor?

To be blunt: probably not.

Box office analysts are guessing that Thor will bring the (money) hammer down on its competition, and could possibly even beat the massive $86 million Fast Five opening from last week.

Also, RottenTomatoes has Thor at a solid 87% while Something Borrowed is only at a 17%.

Don't completely count out the cute flick yet, as the Emily Giffin book turned movie, about a love triangle between a sweet girl (Ginnifer Goodwin), her best friend (Hudson) and her best friend's man (Colin Egglesfield), has a sizable cult following among women.

So, Celebuzz readers -- which one will you see? Take it to the poll and cast your vote!

It is unfortunate that Last Night, Passion Play and Daydream Nation are only being released in select cities and that we won’t find out how they would have done commercially if released nationwide. They all have interesting casts. It would have been interesting to see how smaller films for the leads would do commercially.
