Ashton Kutcher Alludes to Landing 'Two and a Half Men' Role
"What's the square root of 6.25?" That's the question Ashton Kutcher asked via Twitter on Thursday. The answer: two and a half.
Is this the actor's way of confirming the reports that he's joining the Two and a Half Men show?
In another tweet Kutcher also seemed to be alluding to the reports, reading: "I'm starting to become convinced that people put my name in articles just to improve their SEO or hoping I'll tweet it."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, two sources have confirmed that Kutcher is in the final negotiations to star on the hit CBS show, thus replacing embattled actor Charlie Sheen who was fired earlier this year. THR says Ashton's deal is all but signed, though his reps have yet to comment. It was said that Hugh Grant was in line to take over for Sheen but declined the offer. Other names reportedly considered for the part included Rob Lowe and John Stamos.
This would be Ashton's first full-time TV gig since starring on the FOX show That '70s Show and executive producing the MTV prank program Punk'd.
