Lacey’s Low Down: ‘DWTS’ Semi-Finals Recap — Kym Johnson Almost Didn’t Dance!
Monday’s semi-finals show was full of so many random surprises, funny messes and just off the cuff moments. It was just hilarious! There were dirty words from the judges, body grabbing — it was basically insane!
Now that we’re down to the wire, how did everyone do? And who was able to get the first perfect score of the season?
Chelsea Kane & Mark Ballas:
They did three dances. They did a rumba and an Argentine tango. They ended up doing really well and were at the top of the leader board. They won the new thing they tried out this season, the cha cha challenge. Some competitors go against each other and steal points.
Hines Ward & Kym Johnson:
Kym was severly injured. There was a point today when she didn’t even know if she would be able to dance or not. But bless her little heart, she got out there and nailed it. Hines really stepped up to the plate. I haven’t seen him dance that enthusiastic this whole season. They were able to get the first perfect score of the whole season, so they just did awesome. If these two don’t make it to the finale, I’ll be severely saddened, because they totally deserve to be there.
Kirstie Alley & Maksim Chmerkovskiy:
So there weren’t any mess ups or mistakes or anything crazy between these two. She went out there and nailed it, was a good actress, and just did her thing. And nothing crazy happened, which is always a good thing.
Ralph Macchio & Karina Smirnoff:
The judges didn’t really seem to like their routines tonight. They took a bit of a risk, and went off of the direction that they usually do, but I still think they did amazing. But it comes down to taste, and they were more wild this week and they’re usually more classical. I mean, he stuffed his butt to make him look like he had a ghetto booty. He was also rocking some gold chains, and Karina dressed like a cat! Then Bruno [Tonioli] said some derogatory remarks that weren’t meant to be rude but they came out that way. So it the night definitely wasn’t in their favor, but I still think they did great and walked away from it in a very classy way.
Tuesday’s show should be pretty interesting! There’s going to be PitBull, Ne-Yo, and I was able to choreograph a very special routine for a very special person that’s in one of the spotlight pieces. It’s just going to be an amazing, amazing results show!
This is it! This is the last week before we have a winner, and I can’t wait to find out what happens next! Until then! XOXO
