Hands up if you saw this one coming. Earlier this year, Justin Bieber got with Rascal Flatts to record a song — which is now nominated for a Country Music Award.

There was much fanfare about this collabo from beginning. As the song, “That Should Be Me,” hadn’t been released yet, what captured attention at the time was that Biebs showed up to the studio with a new haircut. When the photo of the singer with Rascall Flatts vocalist Jay DeMarcus popped up,  Twitter went into a frenzy! Now the song is getting equal attention. So, who’s he up against?

Nominated in the Collaborative Video of the Year category, the song will face off against Jason Aldean with Kelly Clarkson (“Don’t You Wanna Stay”), Kid Rock feat. Sheryl Crow (“Collide”), Aaron Lewis feat. George Jones and Charlie Daniels (“Country Boy”) and Loretta Lynn, Miranda Lambert and Sheryl Crow (“Coal Miner’s Daughter”).

Kid Rock is hosting the awards for the second year in a row. See the full list of nominees below:
