See what was hot on the Cannes red carpet this year!
You can’t keep a good actress down! Despite the controversial and crazy comments made last week by director Von Trier, Kirsten Dunst still managed to take home the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival for her role in Trier’s film titled Melancholia.

The actress accepted the award wearing a stunning silver and white Chanel Haute Couture gown. Kiki commented on her director’s comments of which he said he sympathized with Hitler. He also said of the actress, “The next film Kirsten insisted to me is going to be a porn film.” According to London Daily Mail, Kirsten said she just wanted to tell him, “‘Lars, shut up.'”

She added:  “He’s a great film-maker who, sometimes I feel should let his films speak for themselves.”

Melancholia is a sci-fi thriller about a nearby planet on a collision course for Earth. Serious stuff! The film also stars 24 bad boy Kiefer Sutherland and Alexander Skarsgard.
