Jennifer Lawrence is Katniss Everdeen. But is she ready for everything that comes along with being the lead in a big blockbuster franchise?

“I don’t know if you can ever be ready for that – it is a little scary,” Lawrence admits to NextMovie. “But an honor, at the same time.”

Clearly Lawrence isn’t the first Hollywood star to go through this.

“I haven’t seen Kristen Stewart, but I feel like if we pass each other, we’ll have to be like ‘Hey!’ ‘Hey!’ [Mimes secret handshake.] Just recognize that we both know what it’s like.”

It’s no secret that many die-hard Hunger Games fans were not happy when Lawrence got the part. The 20-something blond haired, blue-eyed girl looks nothing like their beloved heroin. Still, JL will not let negativity affect her.

Jennifer says:

“Fortunately, I’m not reading any of [fans’ reaction to casting]. And I’m just as crazy of a fan, so I don’t know if that would be good for me – if they all turn against me, I’ll turn against myself.”

Just check out Katniss on the cover of Entertainment Weekly! We think the transformation is pretty awesome.
