Behind-the-Scenes of 'Glee' Finale in NYC (VIDEO)
The New Directions may not have made it into the Top 10 at nationals but they still ended on a high note. Glee rounded out their season in the Big Apple on Tuesday night, May 24, and now we have your behind-the-scenes look at the making of the magical episode!
Cory Monteith, aka Finn Hudson, and his fellow cast members were in awe of the turnout of fans that showed up to watch them film in Times Square and Central Park. Cory said of the finale, "Let me just put it this way, it was epic."
"It was absolutely insane the amount of people that came out to watch us film. I mean you know you're loved when 7,000 people ditch school and work for the day and come watch you perform." Golden Globe winner Chris Colfer said of the NYC crowds.
Chris adds, "When we're filming the show, there are all these, I call them full circle moments, as Oprah has called them, where you just have to step back and think 'Oh my God, am I actually doing this?'" The actor explains that one of his "full circle moments" was when the Glee cast and crew was filming in Times Square. "We literally closed down Times Square. It was insane!"
This season of Glee might be over but you can still catch the cast on their live tour. The cast will be performing in cities throughout California for the remainder of May.
