Love the Look: Kate Holmes Steps Out With a Splash of Color

While other celebrities are sporting the nude-colored trends, Katie Holmes brightened up the red carpet when she stepped out for the 56th Annual Drama Desk Awards.

The actress went north for the awards after a leisurely week in Miami, Florida with her family. Katie lounged around the pool with her little fashionista Suri Cruise, while her husband Tom Cruise filmed Rock of Ages.  

 It looks like Katie is returning to work as well, and this time she'll be costarring with a Gossip Girl guy. The actress' next film will be Responsible Adults and will have her starring alongside TV star Chace Crawford in a romance. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is about "a 30-year-old med student, to be played by Holmes, who meets and falls for a younger man, played by Crawford, only to realize she once was his baby sitter."
