Kid Pics: Shiloh Jolie-Pitt Turns 5!
High fives for Shiloh Jolie-Pitt! Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s little girl is celebrating her fifth birthday today following two other celebrity kids who have also turned five this year, Kingston Rossdale and Suri Cruise!
The parents were thought to be shopping for Shiloh’s birthday present on Thursday as they stepped out of Ozzie Dots in Los Angeles. This is a big day both personally and professionally for the Jolie-Pitt clan.
Shiloh’s mom and dad both have movies coming out today, May 27. Pitt’s film The Tree of Life has been receiving mixed reviews but will face the mainstream audience this Memorial Day weekend. Meanwhile, Angelina rejoins Jack Black and the crew for the sequel of the animated comedy Kung Fu Panda 2.
The mother of six is the voice of Tigress in Kung Fu Panda 2. “Suddenly, you get very shy that your voice is not enough, because I’m not musical and I don’t know my voice,” she told USA Today. The actress admitted that in the beginning of her career she was very nervous about voiceover work and tried out a few zany voices.
However apprehensive she may feel about her vocals, the Jolie-Pitt clan love that she’s in the Kung Fu movies! “They know when mommy’s funny and when mommy’s not funny,” she told the newspaper, adding that the first film was “was one of the kids’ favorite movies.”

Shiloh obviously has gender identity issues, but I think her parents are doing the right thing by allowing her to dress as she wishes. It’s healthier than trying to force her to dress or act like a girl.

Such a wonderful new life who’s only been on this planet for nearly five years! Too bad she’s the victim here. Parents who suffer painful childhoods grow up with an agenda and an overwhelming need to control in inappropriate ways. Parents must control; education and opportunities to develop their child’s intelligence and talents, boundaries to keep their child safe and at innner peace, expressions of love, acceptance and affection to keep their child feeling worthwhile and serene and that’s IT. These parents or parent is using this child as a poster child for issues that are not even there yet! She is a rose bud that needs someone to guide her to unfold and be who she is! She is a female! Rarely, but it does happen, that a child is misassigned a gender. This manifests itself around the age of 11. Up until then, children just bounce ideas and impulses off of parents and adults in order to be guided back to reality and acceptance of who they are! Angelina and Brad are wonderful people who love much and try to do good. Someone must help them or they will be forced to face all of the damage they are doing to this child. Please, someone overlook their money and power and step up to the plate to help them!
How are they damaging their child by loving her enough to let her be who she is. She wants to dress and behave that way. The fact that they let her says I love you unconditionally and that is what every child needs to grow up happy, healthy, and self-confident. Why would they WANT her to be a boy? Brad has a son who really looks like him just like Shiloh and Vivienne look like him. No, Shiloh has a strong personality, like her mom, and is a tomboy. It probably will pass since her biggest role model is very feminine and if it doesn’t then that is just who she is. There is no reason in this world why Brad and Angelina would damage their child that way. I believe they truly love their kids. And yes, she was the most beautiful baby and she’s going to be a beautiful woman.

You’ve used a lot of words and said nothing. I agree parents should control things you mentioned. But then you want all these other people to interfere with how she dresses? You contradict yourself. I was a tomboy. When I hit puberty, out came the dresses and make-up. No harm done. I’m glad my parents or YOU didn’t make it an issue. Angelina has stated to exhaustion these are Shiloh’s choices and leave her alone. So leave her alone. I applaud Brad and Angelina for letting this little girl express herself.

I’m beginning to believe that Shiloh really is a boy.
Oh, and that is pure bs about letting her wear what she wants. Those kids rarely have anything on that is colorful, something like an actual child would pick out to wear. I was a little girl once and have known many little girls…I have yet to find one that would rather wear a black boring boys tie and vest over something sparkly and fun (not to say it can’t happen).
Not everyone fits into a gender role, but this is a 5 year old. On average, 5 year olds actually do. My 4 year old son would never let me put a dress on him. And the little boy on his t-ball team with long, curly blonde hair that I mistook for a girl, let me know real quick (and about 7 times) that he was, in fact, a boy.
So, really why would a 5 year old girl want to look like a boy? And what kids would pick out mainly black, grey, or brown outfits?
My little girl would! She’s 7 years old now and has been wanting to be a boy since she was 3,5 that’s HALF OF HER LIFE! To be honest, it’s has been very hard for me, but you just have to come to accept it and let her be. It’s kind of like I’ve lost my daughter and been watching my beautiful little girl turning into a boy. No force in the world would make her put a dress on, and she’ll sulk and feel unfortable if asked to wear even the most neutral girly clothes, and will only be happy when she can change into her “boy clothes” again. Don’t judge please, it’s not always easy.
I was just like your daughter as a kid. I didnt know what gender even was, but I knew that i wasn’t comfortable wearing girly clothes. I just wasn’t comfortable presenting as female at all. It had nothing to do with my mother or her parenting though. My mother was wonderful and has raised me to be a good person and that is what is most important. My mother had nothing to do with my gender identity, that’s just how I was born. She does however have a lot to do with the person I am on the inside. I know it can be a hard pill to swallow but unconditional acceptance and love is the greatest gift that a parent can give a child.
I am beginning to think they are trying to play down that child’s beauty. Angelina even said once that Shiloh was the outcast of the family because she was light and had blonde hair. They cut her hair short and she wears what appears to be hand me downs from her brother. It started about at the age of three. Before that, she dressed very girly and it seemed everyone commented on her beauty.
What she’s chosen to wear, doesn’t make her any less beautiful. It’s pretty horrible for you to imply that. Girls can be beautiful without having to wear dresses or bright colors or flowers (I mean, I personally love wearing all of those things, but that’s me. I’ve also worn a tie and a dress shirt with buisness causual type pants. I go through tom-boyish periods, and incredibly girly periods of dressing.) Short hair is also, you know, an acceptable hairstyle as well, for a girl. She’s a tomboy, but she’s no less of an adorable child.
