Sean Kingston Severely Hurt in Jet Ski Accident
According to Miami's Local10.com, Kingston and a female passenger were riding around the waters of Miami Beach's private Palm Island when the 21-year-old "Beautiful Girls" musician crashed into a bridge with his jet ski. He and the passenger were immediately rushed to the hospital for "medical attention."
TMZ reports that Kingston had been in critical condition, and was being treated in the trauma ward due to the severity of his injuries, but as of Monday morning, the Associated Press reported that Kingston had been "stabilized."
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokesman Jorge Pino said that "nothing at this point would indicate that alcohol played a role" in the crash.
Kingston shot to pop fame thanks to his hit "Beautiful Girls," and has had a string of hits in the aftermath of his debut, including the catchy dance tune "Fire Burning (911). He has also toured with Justin Bieber, which sparked a close friendship between the two.
On Sunday evening, Bieber took to Twitter to react to the news of Kingston's crash, saying: "got my friend @seankingston in my prayers tonight. a true friend and big bro. please keep him in your prayers tonight as well."
