Sean Kingston Health Update: Sedated But Conscious
After a brutal jet ski accident that left him with a broken jaw, a fractured wrist and water in his lungs, Sean Kingston is thankfully on the road to recovery.
His spokesperson tells MTV News that he’s awake, “aware of what is going on around him” and “sedated but fully conscious.” All told, it may take him six weeks to fully recover, according to reports.
Over the weekend, Kingston and a female passenger were jet skiing in Miami Beach when the 21-year-old “Beautiful Girls” singer crashed into a bridge. He and his passenger were immediately rushed to the hospital.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokesman has said that there was nothing to indicate alcohol played any part in the crash.
Kingston shot to pop fame thanks to his hit “Beautiful Girls,” and has had a string of hits in the aftermath of his debut, including the catchy dance tune “Fire Burning (911). He has also toured with Justin Bieber, which sparked a close friendship between the two.
