Adele Cancels U.S. Tour: ‘I’m Really Frustrated’

Adele won’t be “Chasing Pavements” anytime soon. The singer has canceled the remainder of her North American tour, saying she’s “really frustrated.”

The UK songstress is up in arms because she’s been forced to ditch her remaining North American dates due to continued issues with her voice. The first sign of trouble was when she had to cancel a show in Minneapolis, but she was back on her feet for a performance in Denver. By this week, she was under doctor’s orders to rest.

She said in a statement:

“I’m really frustrated. I was hoping with a week’s rest, I’d be better to sing again straight away. However there is absolutely nothing I can do but take the doctor’s advice and rest some more. I’m so sorry.”

Sad face :(

Fortunately, the outlook is good for Adele, who has been diagnosed with laryngitis — which is bad news for a singer but nothing serious if treated. Given the proper meds and some rest she’ll be “Rolling in the Deep” in no time!
