Emma Watson Says Nobody Will Date Her
Although had her share of suitors (financier Jay Barrymore and male model George Craig) she's currently single and ready to mingle. The Harry Potter star lamented that she has a hard time getting guys to give her the time of day, if you can believe that!
She told the UK's Sunday Times that she's even asked her friends why boys don't bother.
"I ask my friends, 'Why hasn't X called me? Why doesn't anyone ever pursue me?'" she says. "My friends tell me, 'Probably because they're intimidated.' It must be the fame wall. It must be the circus that goes around me."
Because of her experiences, she says, "In some senses, I feel as if I'm 100 years old. In others, I still feel incredibly young, very naive and as if I haven't seen much of the world at all."
Emma opens up, adding, "I'm shy, I''m sensitive and I'm self-critical. It's a terrible combination."
While she's a huge Hollywood star, in many ways she's a typical young lady looking for love. Somehow it seems doubtful that she'll stay single for long, especially now that the world knows she's ready to find a man!
On-screen, she's romantically entangled to her Harry Potter co-star (Ron, played by Rupert Grint), so at least she's in good practice for the real thing. Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 opens on July 7.
