Lady Gaga Celebrates Fashion Icon Award By Taking Off Clothes (PHOTOS)
OMGaga! Pop star Lady Gaga proved that she can shock with or without her infamously complicated outfits when she was spotted arriving at the Boom Boom Room in New York City while wearing nothing but black pasties, a black thong and a sheer body stocking.
The 25-year-old singer was celebrating being named Fashion Icon at the 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards earlier in the evening. Once inside the Boom Boom Room, a turquoise-haired Gaga danced with other party-goers and belted out a song with famed chanteuse Patti LaBelle.
The strangest thing about Gaga’s outfit? The small row of spikes right near her crotch. Is that Gaga’s way of saying that she isn’t looking for a new boyfriend to replace ex Luc Carl?

GaGa spent years researching the process and product of fame. Once she learned all she could about how to sell a record she then employed her findings in her life as an honest to goodness artist. Sure enough…..the woman with the gorgeous voice & phenomenal musical writing capabilities – went from a nobody to a suddenly hot commodity. She is the epitome of an extemely famous and VERY talented artist who knows how to attract her fan base, and then keep them happy and coming back for more. Her musical talent and entreprenurial skills are equally matched.
We (the public) are the people who make others famous, rich and successful. We show our approval and/or disapproval with our pocketbooks. GaGa is much like Freddie Mercury, Prince, Elton John, David Bowie, Michael Jackson and Beyonce. Despite their individual giftedness and mega-talent, they still need a gimmick to convince you & I to buy their products. We are VERY hard to please! Thus, as time moves on, artistic “limits” (or gimmicks) are pushed farther and farther from the norm because we, as consumers, become more and more desensitized to radical appearances and/or behaviors by those we wish to embrace and support as our cultural icons..
At 25 years of age GaGa was just voted, “The Most Influential Person On Planet Earth, 2011″. Clearly she has reached enough of us to make an enormous impact on society as a whole via; fashion, music, industry, politics, art, science, psychology, philosophy, meta and mega culture, sense of self, and yes, religion too. She is an honest to goodness phenom! I feel blessed to feel, and to use, her influences to make my own life better. Her messages to the world make me want to hug myself as well as everyone else around me. I sure hope she plans on sticking around for awhile. We need her positive perspectives on life and her stunning music during these most challenging and difficult times. I am humbled by her, and, I am grateful for her. GO GAGA!!
Wow you are very deluded. She is an OK singer, if you want to hear phenomenal singers listen to Jackie Evancho or Adele. Her songs have such superficial lyrics, nothing to boast about there. If you think Lady Gaga is the most influential person on earth and has made non-trivial contributions to science, philosophy or religion you need psychiatric help!

I find it interesting that Lady Gaga exposes her very lovely body, yet covers her face. I understand about performance artistry and certainly have nothing against it. She was at a funtion, not a performance. For all her bravado belting out great tunes like “Born This Way,” I believe that she’s sending the wrong message to her younger fans, that she needs to flaunt her smokin’ bod and hide her face that perhaps is not in the traditional sense ~ gorgeous. Gaga, you’re beautiful and talented inside and out, you don’t need to go to such extremes to get attention, you got talent sista.
