Angelina Jolie Asks Public to ‘Do One Thing’ For World Refugee Day (VIDEO)
The PSA seeks to show the power of one. The actress-turned-philanthropist says, “One family forced to flee is too many. … One child growing up in a camp is too many. One refugee without hope is too many. … Do one thing. Visit UNHCR.org, and learn how you can make a difference.”
Angelina serves as a Goodwill Ambassador for the UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees), and has been a huge voice for these displaced people.
In addition to making headlines for her good deeds, she’s also been getting press for her good looks. The actress reportedly went makeup free for Louis Vuitton’s “Core Values” photo shoot. Pietro Beccari, Vuitton’s executive vice president, told Women’s Wear Daily that “people are not used to seeing Angelina in this situation … I like the fact that it’s a real moment. This travel message we give through personal journeys is a fundamental one for the brand.” The actress is also reported to have worn her own clothes for the photos.
