Report: Lindsay Lohan Tests Positive for Alcohol During House Arrest, Could Return to Jail
Looks like Lindsay Lohan's legal troubles are far from over.
The 24-year-old star has been under house arrest for probation violation over the last few weeks, and according to TMZ, she has tested positive for alcohol -- a big no-no thanks to her probation and sentence terms. Lindsay was given two tests, testing negative for drugs on both of them, but positive for alcohol on one, which was administered shortly after her Memorial Day rooftop BBQ.
What does this mean for Linds?
She'll be heading back to court on Thursday and it's believed that the probation officers want her in jail. The bbq in question can be seen in the photos below.
According to TMZ:
"The Probation Department is pissed off because they tried to force Lindsay to take two tests in May but Lindsay's lawyer, Shawn Holley, refused to make Lindsay submit, claiming it wasn't part of her probation. Turns out it was, so Lindsay subsequently took the two tests, one of which she failed."This news comes off the heels of Lindsay's interview with Life & Style, where she boldly proclaimed: "Alcohol is not in my house, so it's just not a part of my life." She also told the magazine she has "grown up," and will do whatever it takes to gain the respect back of her peers in the entertainment industry.
Reports also surfaced on Wednesday that Lindsay abruptly refused to do a scheduled interview with Today Show anchor Matt Lauer, claiming she thought the interview was to go no longer than 15 minutes. However, the original plan was to do a longer interview that would be split into a Today segment as well content for a Dateline episode.
