Hayley Williams Reveals Her Best Beauty Buys
From keeping her hair color vibrant to flawless skin, she’s breaking it down and naming names — all her favorites and must-have items.
“The healthier my hair, the better it looks,” she says of her famous red locks. She uses Moroccanoil Oil Treatment, saying, “I put it in my hair, and then let it air-dry.” Also suggested: Leave-in conditioner with UV blockers to lock in color.
When she’s keeping it casual in a ponytail, she reaches for rainbow-colored Emi-Jay hair ties. “They don’t break my hair,” she says. Since you can pick up a five-pack for $11, they won’t break your budget either.
Speaking of rainbow colors, she’s a fan of bold, bright nails. “I like nails that are loud and vibrant,” she says. “My mom couldn’t get me out of the house unless I got to wear two different-colored socks … I think of nails the same way.”
Her favorite colors? “I love yellow on my nails,” she says. “It complements my pale skin … I’m really into sea-foam green—’70s bathroom style.”
When it comes to painting her face, she prefers to go natural. “I love skin to have a no-makeup look,” Hayley says. Her faves include Benefit Benetint lip and cheek stain — which she says she wears every day — Tarte Smooth Operator Natural Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 and Peter Thomas Roth SPF 45 mineral powder.
“I pick my lipstick by my mood,” she adds. Her pick: MAC lipstick in Fusion Pink “It’s a rad color for people who like lipsticks that pop,” she says.
“It’s like using a marker on your eyes,” says Williams. MAC Penultimate Eye Liner in Rapidblack, $18. “It stays on forever—and I love browns and golds,” she says of Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow Liners in Busy Signal, $19.
