Selena Gomez Explains 'Bang Bang Bang': "It's a Diss and a Compliment" (VIDEO)
Selena Gomez's new album -- which is receiving awesome reviews -- comes out June 28 on iTunes, and the singer recently posted a video explaining more about her single "Bang Bang Bang," implying ever so subtly that the song is about her ex Nick Jonas and current beau Justin Bieber!
"I rewrote some of the lyrics to tweak it to where it was perfectly about my life. It was one of those songs that is a diss and a compliment," Selena explains with a knowing smile.
"It's basically saying in a past relationship you may not have been treated properly, you kind of don't really like that person, but then there's a new person in your life that makes you feel like you're the only person in the world that matters. It's a sweet song, and a diss, but it's really fun."
Some sample lyrics from Bang Bang Bang:
My new boy knows the way I want it, He's got more swagger than you, he's got more swagger than you do My new boy really likes to flaunt this, He's not hiding me, you know, he's showing me off, you knowJustin Bieber has some serious swagger! We do wonder how Nick Jonas is liking the new jam. Nick and Selena certainly were much more under the radar with their relationship, and it sounds like that might not have been the Disney star's way of going about a high-profile romance because she and Justin certainly aren't shy with their affection!
