Robert Pattinson had a really rough day while filming Cosmopolis in Toronto, but it was all in the name of art.

Earlier this week, the Twilight star got smacked in the face with a cream pie and later saw his tricked-out limo vandalized. Don’t fret, Twihards, the pie and graffiti antics were all part of his new film, Cosmopolis, which Rob is currently shooting in Canada. No one would dare put Rob’s handsome mug in danger with malicious intent!

Rob was a good sport about taking a pie in the face for the sake of the film. The star, who was neatly dressed in a white button-down shirt and black slacks, frowned when he was smacked with a pie but later walked away smiling and sneaking tastes of the pie residue on his face and hands.

Later, the British hunk looked devastated as he inspected his vandalized limo but once the cameras stopped filming he began to giggle and joke with crew members.

So, what’s up with all these stunts at Rob’s expense? Rob’s new film is based on Don DeLillo’s 2003 novel, which follows a wealthy young man as he tries to get a haircut in New York City. While on his way to get his haircut, the character is met with multiple obstacles which keep him from getting his trim. Obviously, the pie-to-the-face and vandalized limo are two examples of those obstacles!

Rob’s pie-face might have been easier to handle if he had his girlfriend Kristen Stewart by his side while filming. The two on-and-off-screen lovers have been spending some time together in Toronto while Rob films but KStew’s demanding schedule has kept them apart for most of the summer.
