Kate Middleton has discovered the secret to winning over Canadians – embrace their favorite symbol, the maple leaf!

The British Duchess showed her love for the Great White North by sporting a custom-made red maple-leaf hat for a Canada Day celebration at the Museum of Civilization in Gatineau, Quebec. Walking several paces ahead of Prince William, Kate was the center of attention with her Canadian hat and chic white dress. The Duchess of Cambridge topped off her look with a red and white straw clutch and matching red heels. Very cute, and perfect for Canada Day!

Following their visit to the Museum, Kate and William will partake in more Canada Day celebrations in Ottawa, including a children's concert on Parliament HIll.

Kate's royal husband is expected to make a major speech today, marking his first speech in Canada since he married Kate.

Kate's hat isn't the only highlight of her trip – the beautiful brunette attracted a ton of attention when she arrived in Canada in a chic navy lace dress. This girl really knows how to make an entrance! Check out the photos below.

This is Kate's first trip to North America and her first major tour as an official Duchess.

She would have looked more Canadian if she poured maple syrup all over herself.

kate is soooo pretty and classy. I wish she lived in the US so we could hear and see more of her instead of the fame hungry, sex tape makers we have to put up with.
