Sarah Michelle Gellar is Back in 'Ringer': 'Buffy Never Got a Gun - I Get a Gun'
We know it's been all about Breaking Dawn at Comic-Con this year- that is, until Sarah Michelle Gellar took the stage in Hall H. Let's just say she's trending on Twitter for a reason, people.
Back this fall on The CW in The Ringer, SMG walked on stage during the panel Thursday to a standing ovation and crowd screeching cheers.
"I wanted to come back to do a show fans would love and I would love to watch," Gellar said about her return to TV adding this script was "the first time in a really long time I was surprised by something."
"I'm not trying to re-create Buffy and I'm not trying to top it," SMG said. "I'm trying to do something that the fans, who have been so good to me, will love. I'm a television watcher, and this is the kind of show that I would watch."
Sarah also talked about trading stakes for machinery when asked about action scenes in The Ringer:
"Buffy never got a gun. Now I get a gun!"
SMG plays a woman who witnesses a murder and goes on the run by taking on the identity of her wealthy twin sister. But the hardest part of playing two characters isn't what you would think.
"Hair and makeup," Sarah said about what's most challenging. "You put the eye makeup on, take the eye makeup off."
God we missed this girl's sass! Who else is definitely tuning into The Ringer this fall?!
