What on earth is happening with Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer and Glee? Don’t think we are the only ones confused here! First Ryan Murphy announced that the big three were graduating and not coming back for season 4. Then at Comic-Con Brad Falchuk said that was not the case.

Glee God Ryan Murphy just sat down with Deadline to set the record straight (but we are still confused). Let’s breakdown what was said in the lengthy interview:

Basically, when Ryan told The Hollywood Reporter Lea, Cory, and Chris were graduating it was because a spin-off with them was in the works, but Murphy was “not allowed to talk about a spin-off.”

Lea, Cory, and Chris were aware of this, and after discussions all agreed, so nobody found out they were leaving via Twitter.

Also, Ryan wants to make clear that “none of them were fired.”

As for the spin-off status? Due to the confusion in the media, the spin-off isn’t happening.

“Now that that has collapsed,” Ryan says to Deadline. “We’re not talking about it, we’re not pitching it. We’re not doing anything for the next several months except for this third season.”

Still, one question isn’t being answered. Are Lea, Cory, and Chris coming back to Glee after this season?!
