Singer Joss Stone Opens Up About Alleged Murder Plot
Who would’ve ever thought Joss Stone would be a target for an alleged robbery-murder plot?
The British songstress — who received a Grammy award and four other Grammy nominations for her sultry song style — was reportedly the intended victim of such a crime back in June. Two men were arrested outside her home in England for plotting to rob and murder her. This came shortly after a report that Stone was one of the wealthiest female musicians in Great Britain.
Now Stone is opening up about the incident, telling CNN:
“I know, man — that almost got me killed! S**t like that gets people killed! I am not the wealthiest woman in England!”
She was seemingly calm and collected about the whole issue, adding:
“I never really got into it. I’ve been in this industry for 10 years, and so many weird things happen. So another weird thing is just another weird thing. It’s a little bit like sitting in a movie.”
The free-spirited singer-songwriter is getting along just fine. After being a special guest at the highly-anticipated Royal Wedding, she released her fifth studio album entitled LP1. If her Grammy win and nominations indicate anything, it’s that this gal will be around for quite a while.
