First Look! Henry Cavill Suits Up as Superman for ‘Man of Steel’ (PHOTO)
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Henry Cavill as Superman!
In this just released photo from Warner Bros., we get a sneak peek at the upcoming film Man of Steel, the latest Superman reboot, which stars the British hunk. It was announced back in January that the 28-year-old actor would don the famous red cape for the Zack Snyder helmed remake, scheduled for a 2013 release.
It seems that this movie is rounded out to be quite the star studded cast!
Amy Adams will play Lois Lane to Henry’s Clark Kent, while Kevin Costner and Diane Lane will play Superman’s adoptive parents. Russell Crowe will take on the role of Jor-El, Superman’s birth father, and Julia Ormand will play his birth mother. It was also announced earlier this week that Laurence Fishburne will play Daily Planet editor-in-chief Perry White.
This is the latest Superman film, as the most recent attempt – Superman Returns (released in 2006) — was met with mixed reviews.

This story needs to be retold, after it was just retold five years ago? I don’t quite get why with this and Spiderman, we’re being sold the same exact story.

You know, when Christian Bale put on the pointy ears he almost instantly became the favorite Batman of a generation. I think that Henry Cavill can do the same if the movie is good. The cape can be passed from Reeve. Just curious, who is your favorite actor to play Supes?

There’s a reason he was passed over for Superman once before, this pic justifies it! And when did Superman have such short arms, and he looks old! Tom Welling should have gotten the role, he’s the Superman of this generation, anybody else are just pretenders!
