Ashton Kutcher Talks Tech & ‘Two and a Half Men’ to Details
A clean shaven Ashton, who just nabbed a Teen Choice Award for Choice Comedy actor on Sunday night, graces the cover of the mag’s September issue.
And while we all know he’ll be stepping into a new role on the hit CBS Two and a Half Men next month, Details also made time to inquire about his tech savvy ways and unique business strategies.
When asked about how he became interested in tech, Ashton told the mag:
“After Punk’d, Katalyst did a deal with AOL to produce short-form content for the Web. At that time it was a different game. If you got front-page coverage on any popular website, you could probably get a push. But about three years ago I started playing around with Facebook and Twitter, and I realized what could be done inside real-time shared media, where you didn’t have to be connected to a big portal or big media outlet to get your story out. I thought that was pretty powerful.”
He also touched on replacing Charlie Sheen and said:
“I don’t know him. I’ve never met him in my life. But, you know, he sent me congratulations and wished me well. Via Twitter.”
The season premiere of Two and a Half Men was filmed last week, and sources tell Celebuzz that Ashton (who will be playing an Internet billionaire with a broken heart) was nothing short of professional, an overall team player and a total delight to work with. They even mentioned to us that right before filming, Ashton got emotional and thanked everyone for the opportunity to come back to TV.
We can’t wait to tune in!
