Actress Tia Mowry gives birth to her baby boy!
Fans remember twin sisters Tia and Tamera Mowry from their childhood days when they starred in the show that kept us all dying of laughter — Sister, Sister!

The lovely ladies are all grown up and return to TV in a new reality series, Tia & Tamera. The show debuted Monday to the highest premiere ratings on the Style network. The sisters share their lives about what it’s like being a mommy-to-be and a bride-to-be with all of the ups and the downs, and of course the ridiculously funny moments!

Celebuzz chatted with Tamera about the show, planning her wedding, and even dished a possible career in TV hosting.

What should we expect from Tia & Tamera?
Basically, Tia & Tamera is a series documenting the two most amazing milestones in any woman’s life. One is getting married and the other one is having her first child. These are also the most vulnerable times of a woman’s life. What makes the show so interesting — and I think funny and naturally dramatic — is the fact that these events are happening at the same time. You’ll see us struggle [with] trying to be there for each other.

How do you deal with these precious times around cameras?
Looking back, I don’t know how I did it. I think it just added to the stress. You know you see me really, really emotional at times, and I think that had a lot to do with it.

What makes Tia & Tamera so different from other reality shows out there?
I’ve never watched a reality show and laughed as hard as I did watching this one. Tia and I are naturally comical. We had a television show for so many years. Uou can see why it worked because when we’re just ourselves — we’re hysterical.

What was the hardest part about putting it all together?
Doing a scripted they tell you what to do, where to stand; you just memorize your lines and make sure you play your character the best you can. Whereas during a reality show, you show up and be yourself. In your head you think, well I don’t want to appear like this or I’m going to filter this particular scene, but that’s exhausting when you do it that way. So, it’s important to just let go, relax and be yourself.

Are the cameras around you constantly?
Pretty much. They were with us twelve, sometimes fourteen hours a day.

What was the hardest part about planning your wedding?
The hardest part was choosing my wedding dress. I think it was hard because now there are so many options. There are so many amazing designers. I didn’t just want to find a dress, I wanted to find a dress that captured the theme and style of my wedding. I wanted a Tuscan-villa outdoorsy wedding, so I needed to find a dress that captured that.

Do you have any other projects under your belt?
For me, I actually guest-hosted Access Hollywood Live. It was so much fun. I’m thinking that’s something I venture into.

What makes you want to get into TV hosting?
I think it’s because I’m naturally intrigued about people’s lives. I love to ask questions. I really, really do. It’s like I’m in my element.

What advice would you give to current child actors who are blowing up in the media right now?
What I would tell these young actors is be careful of Hollywood identifying who you are as a person. A lot of the time, if there are celebrities who are working a lot, they think they are better than anyone else. In reality, it’s just a job. It doesn’t mean you’re better than anyone. The same goes if you’re not working. Don’t let Hollywood identify you as a person, let you identify yourself as a person, your character, who you are, who you want to be, your morals, and your values. I think that will help. Also … make sure you have a hobby. Don’t let your life always be about Hollywood. It’s really, really important that you have an amazing support system — people who love you for you, not for what you do.

Is that how you personally got through the pressures of being a child actress?
Yes, definitely. My parents are very proud of us, but neither of them are in the business and they have no desire to be in the business. So, they kept us grounded.

What’s your hobby to keep your life separate from Hollywood?
I actually love to travel. I love Italy because I love wine and food, and in Italy the food is great.
