'Real Housewives' Taylor Armstrong’s Husband Commits Suicide
According to TMZ, the Los Angeles City Fire Department arrived at his house and pronounced him dead at 8:16 p.m. on Monday. The site says as of late, there is no suicide note. Russell, 47, was reportedly found hanging in his bedroom.
UPDATE: TMZ also reports that Taylor was present when her husband's body was found. Sources say they were supposed to meet Monday afternoon and she became concerned when he didn't show. She and a friend reportedly found the owner of the home where he was staying, who found his body upon investigating the property.
TMZ spoke with Russell's lawyer, who said that his client had been going through "tremendous financial problems" recently, and "was also extremely bummed out about the divorce with Taylor. As far as a will, even if he does have a will, they don't have any assets, so I'm not sure what there would be left to leave. I am extremely saddened ... I had no idea he was depressed."told People that being involved in the Housewives show put a remarkable strain on their marriage.
"Did I push her? Yes, maybe things happened in the heat of the moment, but it was during a time in our lives that was not characteristic of who we were. This show has literally pushed us to the limit."Taylor filed for divorce from her husband last month after claiming that he physically and emotionally abused her. Back in Dec. 2010, the reality star commented on her marriage to E!, saying, "It's a work in progress. We're doing the best we can and really focusing on our family."
Executive Vice-President of Original Programming and Development at Bravo and host of all Real Housewives reunions, Andy Cohen, offered his condolences on Twitter, saying:
