Taylor Momsen Declares: I'm (Hopefully) Done With Acting
In a new interview with Elle, Taylor opens up about how she's left the world of Gossip Girl and Hollywood behind in the hopes of making the world of rock and roll her home. "I quit acting, actually. I quit Gossip Girl and now tour and am in a band and that’s pretty much all I want to do. Hopefully I’ll be able to only do that for the rest of my life," she vented to the magazine.

Momsen's exit from Gossip Girl came amid a large amount of speculation as to whether she chose to leave, or if she was intentionally written off of the show. Either way, thankfully she has the success of her band The Pretty Reckless to fall back on.

Taylor actually CAN sing and sounds a hell of a lot better than I thought she would. When I first heard of her band, I thought she would be some generic pop crap but her voice just totally blew me away! It was pure rock. I hope that she goes to college and then try to come back as a singer, without the slutty clothes.
@Jonathan Unlike Most Teen Stars who are trying to become a real artist (like Bieber and such) Taylor can actually sing ad write her own music. YT some of her performances with The Pretty Rekless before u become so quick to judge her. i agree with jonathan siewert i love gossip girl much more now that she's gonne...and i also agree with davidhot she should also quit singing and stop wearing those raccoon eyes and slutty clothes.

She didn't quit Gossip Girl they fired her. The show is better off without her. I bet she dresses slutty on stage because her music stinks.

She should go to college and university and finish her education.
Even though she has a good singing voice, I don't see her as a real artist in 5 years. She seems forgettable, no offense.
