Kim Kardashian’s Wedding Workout: Her Trainer Reveals All!
What types of workout routines have you and Kim been focusing on leading up to the wedding?
Anything and everything from strength training squats and lunges to speed work with a sled to dumbbells and bands to stairs to focus mits and pad kicking.
Are there any diet/food restrictions?
She knows what to eat and makes good choices outside of the gym. The toughest part for any bride is the tasting of the food that will be served at the reception.
How many hours a week does she hit the gym?
She’s here anywhere from 3-5 times a week depending on her schedule. Don’t forget, she’s shooting her show every day this week — plus getting in here at 6 or 7AM. Dedication, consistency and work ethic are what make it happen. There’s no quit in Kim.
Kim is pretty busy— has she ever cancelled on you?
Not once, in 3 years. In fact, she has never even been late. And she has never left early either. I have only one other guy like that (who has trained with me for 12 years) who says, ‘If I don’t show up, check the obituaries…’
What advice do you have for other brides hoping to shed some weight before their wedding?
Stay with your current program, but just ramp up the intensity and possibly the frequency — if you have the time. But don’t revamp the whole thing! Buckle down, make good food and alcohol choices. People will want to toast you and celebrate you, which is fine, but just be mindful. And really try to keep your sleep schedule solid. Sleep keeps your immune system healthy, keeps your mental acuity up to par, keeps your cortisol (stress hormone) levels in check and you can’t ingest extra calories when you sleep.
