Britney Spears Tribute Planned For VMA's, Check Out Her Most Risque Outfits! (PHOTOS)
For the past 10-plus years, if you even uttered the MTV Video Music Awards, you couldn't help but conjure up thoughts of Britney Spears. The Louisiana sweetheart has been a staple at the awards show since 1999!
With huge video hits like "...Baby One More Time", "Oops!... I Did It Again", "I'm A Slave 4 U", "Toxic" and "Womanizer", it's no surprise that Britney's being honored with the MTV Video Vanguard award. She's joining the ranks of Michael, Janet Jackson, Beastie Boys and U2!
Since MTV's honoring Britney, we've decided to take a stroll down memory lane and check out some of her most risque outfits. Be sure to spot some of the VMA ensembles that made the cut! Also tune in to the Video Music Awards when it airs live on MTV Sunday August 28 at 9/8c and keep checking back with Celebuzz for all your VMA coverage!
Along with the award, MTV is pulling out all the stops with their Britney tribute. Rumored to honor the Princess of Pop are Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato, Ke$ha, Nicki Minaj and one of her idols, Janet Jackson.
Hmm, maybe Christina Aguilera will join in on the festivities. After all the two did pay homage to the Queen of Pop, Madonna, at the 2003 VMAs. Doesn't ring a bell? It's the performance that had the two lip locking with the iconic star.
Britney's had some memorable VMA moments (and outfits!) over the years. Anyone remember her first performance at the VMAs with fellow teen sensations *Nsync in 1999?
Or how about at the 2000 VMAs when Brit-Brit let it all hang out in that barely-there sequin outfit when she performed her hit "Oops..."?
It's impossible to forget about Britney's performance with a giant snake at the 2001 VMAs! The bubbly blonde danced around the stage with a huge albino python while belting out her sultry hit "I'm a Slave 4 U".
