My name is Samantha and my Fiance’s name is Brett. We met in middle school when we had all but 1 class together in the 7th grade. We became best friends at the most critical time in my life. My Mother had been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (a rare blood cancer). He was there for me through her sickness and most of all at her funeral! It was the saddest time in my life and somehow at such a young age He brought hope into my life. My father abandoned me and I went into the foster care system and we lost touch. When I turned 21 I found him on Myspace and two weeks later we were back in each others arms. I have had no stability from anyone and here he is by my side still today at age 25! Recently his father fell ill and is on dyalisis. His mother works two jobs and visits his father at the hospital. The problem with this is that Brett’s family owns a ranch and has over 1o4 animals. His parents love animals. Now he is stuck taking care and cleaning up after of all of them daily and helping his dying father. He has no time to hold a job so I have to. I just lost my job recently and am having a difficult time finding another one. We simply do not have the money for the wedding we so desperately want to have. This is why I think we are good canidates for this contest.

I had just gotten out of an abusive relationship. Then the best thing in my life happened. I met Troy. He asked me out about a month and a half after we met. Took me 2 weeks till i said yes to a date. Now we’ve been together for almost 2 years. I have a 3 year old daughter, Aeva. Through all the court trials to raising my daughter as his own, he has been there, keeping me strong. My daughter looks at him as a father figure, and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better! It feels like good karma for everything I have been through. Maybe I might not get picked for a fairytale wedding, but having him in my life is already a dream come true. Troy, I love you so much! You’re perfect for me in every way!
I think that your story is sad but most of these things happened years ago and has no current relevance. However you should concentrate on the positive in your life or make some much needed changes. My suggestion is to sell the animals and you will have less to worry about and your fiance would be able to concentrate on job hunting. This may not be a good time to get married. Perhaps you should wait until you are both able to pay for the wedding. There are couples more deserving and ready…especially on page 17. EVERYONE GO TO PAGE 17.

Growing up in an all-Russian community in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, New York; I had always wanted to spread my wings and explore outside of my own culture. Finally when I got my chance to study abroad in Granada, Spain I packed my bags without any hesitation. At first, my hopes for this journey was to adapt to a new culture, explore a new country and learn a new language. Everything was going great and things got even better my second night there. My friends and I decided to go out to a local bar not knowing a much about local nightlife. The first bar we chose, there was a bachelor party there where I met the man of my dreams.
Things began a bit bumpy being for the fact my Spanish was broken and his English was missing. Eventually with time and after a few months of language classes our relationship grew from strangers to best friends to lovers.
Kim, as you know from your experience with Kris, long distance relationships are not the easiest. I moved to Michigan to be with a previous relationship of 5 years. the relationship was very abusive in all ways! I never thought that I could get out of it. My name is Tammy and my fiance’s name is Peter. It is a year this month since we met and are getting married April 21, 2012. We have a beautiful and wonderful relationship. It has not come with the easiest of circumstances,
but he has stood by me through them all. First of all, I am a mother of two children, a 4 and 2 year old, and never thought I would find someone to care and love my kids like their own. He has came into our lifes and has just been amazing

Second, my son was diagnosed with neuroblastoma cancer when he was 23 months, now 4 years old, he is a year and 4 months in remission. My finace, since coming into our lifes, he has stood right by me through all the scans that my son still needs to go through every 3 to 4 months. Knowing that the cancer can come back at anytime, has not made him turn is back on us. My fiance knows how high the chances are of my son relapsing, and has just accepted the reponsibilities of being there to take care of us. Peter is a full time student and works part-time. So from with studying and working, he still finds the time to be here for me and my children. That is why I believe we deserve this wedding.
Hello all, my name is Neonta and my fiance’s name is Kevin, and I must tell you that I love this man beyond what words can describe. Kevin and I met years ago online and from the moment I saw his picture, I fell in love with his smile. We dated over a 2 year period, which was when I became pregnant with our now 7 year old identical twin boys (shown above. Our relationship has seen it’s share of ups and downs including me suffering a debilitating neurological disease and the twins suffering severe asthma. Due to the fact that we tend to spend our funds on Doctor’s visits, we are strapped for cash, and can’t afford a fairy tale wedding. Joseph and I met when we were 12 years old but, we did not begin our relationship until August 2009. We had both been through some rough times and found each other again via Facebook. As we talked that first evening it was like there was no lost time. Every time I’d pass by his house I would imagine my self married to him (all my family knew he was my boyfriend he just didn’t know it) all the time! James and I have been together almost four years now. Life hasn’t been easy for either of us. We are engaged to be married June 2 2012 and couldn’t be happier. It’s a struggle though because we’re having to pay for our wedding ourselves. I’m a full time radiology student and he works but most of his income goes to bills so it’s not going to be easy. He has no parents or grandparents left (they’ve all passed away) or hardly any family for that matter. My mom has been in prison for drugs since I can remember and my father is a dead-beat who has never been in my life. My grandparents raised me but my grandfather passed away when i was 17 and my grandmother tries to help out but she has muscular dystrophy and only gets a paycheck from disability. I met John my fiance in a strange way nine years ago. I went out with a couple of friends to a bar and had to use the restroom really bad…of course the line went out the door. I decided to go into the men’s restroom since there was no line. As I popped my head to make sure there wasn’t anyone in there John comes walking out and said that he would watch the door for me. When I came out there he was guarding the door for me. He has always been such a gentleman and has taken good care of me. We have blended our families and have four children together. Every year on our anniversary we go have a drink at the bar that we met and we laugh at the fact that nature’s call is what brought us together. Brant and I met two years ago. After only being together for two months, my grandfather was diagnosed with colon cancer. My life as a 20 year old changed completely! I had to quick my job and school and be by his side 24 hours a day. There was no longer any time for trips to the lake, movie nights, etc. But still, Brant would come over to my house and sit in the living room for hours, just to be with me. Austin and I have known each other since we were 6 years old. We were in taekwondo together and went to the same elementary, middle, and high school. I even told my little cousin when I was 10 that I was going to marry him someday, my cousin being young couldn’t remember his last name so he always referred to my crush as Austin Texas. Throughout the years we had classes together and would talk on occasion, until we really connected at a friend’s party when we were 16. We were part of the few that weren’t drinking and he let me drive his brand new car that he was so proud of. It took him a couple days to finally build up the courage to ask me on a date, but once he did we hung out almost everyday afterwards playing tennis and watching movies. From that moment on we were inseparable. Our bond was so intense and unbreakable. By the time college rolled around, I decided to go to California and he stayed in Wisconsin for school. That separation was a huge test for our relationship and was the hardest years of my life, but the distance only made us stronger. After only being engaged for 3 months our unexpected wedding took place, in a hospital room as my fathers last request. Dave and I arrived at dinner with my parents and brother. I spotted a “Tater Tot Casserole” on the specials menu and thought it was funny and showed Dave (He has always called me Tater Tot)… I realized that Dave had a different look on his face and realized I needed to read what the special said.

Rossel and I met in his house. I was his brother best friend, it was love at first sight for him but not for me. He was not my type at all but with time he won my family over and finally won my heart over nine years later and three kids later we love each other more than ever and have a beautiful family.

My fiancee’s name is Jermie (pronounced Jeremy) and he is in the U.S. Army and I am working on becoming a teacher. This is love the second time around for the both of us, having both gotten a divorce this year, we both assumed that we would be taking things slow this time around. Last month was my birthday and the picture above is actually from that night where at the end of dinner with my parents he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. As with Kim’s proposal it was totally unexpected, but a very happy moment!
Given the situation we both got out of we planned on just getting married in Vegas, but in his first marriage he did not really have a big wedding (got married in front of a judge) and we cannot afford the big wedding that I know he would love to have! Here’s hoping that he and I can get this dream fulfilled.

Growing up I never thought I would be married or even have the chance to plan a wedding. Well at the age of 21 I met and fell in love with my Fiancé Matice. Now we have decided to tie the knot on Aug 12, 2012 so our beautiful children can shared our special day with us.

The story of Ariel and Rob started 12 years ago. A true fairy tale from the start. But just like any fairy tale there are those that do anything they can to rip the two apart from each other. Rob and I were forced to stop seeing eachother and many years went by before we found eachother. Timing was wrong yet again and when we ran into eachother again after 4 years we were both in need of a friend more than anything. But have no fear, for this story has a happily ever after because after waiting 12 long years and enduring cancer, abusive relationships and heartache we are engaged to be married finally! Having the honor of being blessed with a wedding from you Kim would only show the world not give up in love. It might take time but when it’s meant to be its truley meant to be. We had originally planned on just getting married at the court house since we have such large medical bills due to me fighting off uterine cancer twice. But this would be the perfect ending to our fairy tale story. Thank you Kim for being so generous and allowing another couple to have a moment that will last a lifetime.
My fiancee Jason is currently in Afganistan luckily I am awaiting his arrival for October 2011. We met last April and I knew that very instant I was going to marry him. He had to go to a school 3 days after we had met for three weeks in Georgia, I didn’t think it was fair he was being taken away in such a short time after meeting him. Two weeks after he was at the school I decided to drive down there to be with him because it just felt right. I drove 19 hours straight through the night to the school. After the school and everything was over with when he had got back to New York we moved in together but we only had a short 6 months together before he had to deploy for a year. I knew going into the relationship he had to deploy, so when he left in October 2010 I moved down to Florida with his family so that was I was surrounded with as much as I could that had to do with him. I gave up everything just so I wasn’t around a situation that could potentially jepordize my relationship. I felt since Jason had to give up his freedom while being deploy, I would show my loyalty and love by doing the same. (Not to the same extreme obviously.) He has gone through a lot more than I could ever imagine while being deployed just like every person that is deployed. Jason has a 5 year old daughter whose life he has missed a lot of because of the military and I feel like if we had this opportunity, it would be something that both of our families would be able to enjoy and celebrate and remember forever.
Steven and I met in June of 2008. It didn’t take very long for us to fall in love, we were planning our lives together by that August! We had originally planned on getting married in June of 2010, but in April of that year, a devastating 7.2 earthquake hit our hometown of El Centro, CA. The damage had condemned Christ Community Church, the location I’d always dreamed of getting married in. My mother also worked as a school teacher at this church, so she ended up losing her job that she truly loved so much. We’ve been putting our wedding on hold, but the financial burden has taken a toll on our plans as student loans pile up as Steven and I help support my mother. This gift from you, Kim, would honestly help so much to make our dream wedding a reality!
My husband Mike and I are actually already married, but didn’t get to have our dream wedding. We been together since we were 16 and been with each other for 2 years before he propose to me on Thanksgiving ’06. He joined the Marines fresh out of high school and we had our first child at the age of 18. Life’s been tough after he got out of the military and we had our second child. Now at the age of 22 (me) him at 23. Life has been extremely tough. Not having enough to even pay bills, let alone to even think about a wedding. He has work hard to take care of my two boys (2 and 4) and I and struggling so young to make it through, so I hope that we both can have this fullfill moment of a dream wedding.
Felix and I met in May of 2005 as returning adults in college. From the moment we laid eyes on one another, we knew we were meant to be husband and wife, but we took our time as inseparable friends for several months before finally taking the plunge and started dating. 3 years later, Felix was diagnosed with stage 3B Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and is still fighting the battle against cancer. He received his 2nd bone marrow transplant this past June and is still hospitalized as he recovers from the excruciating side effects that came with the transplant. I have been by his side every day throughout this battle, spending countless nights at the hospital and heading straight to work, back to the hospital. It has put a dent in our plans as we hoped to have been married by now, but we hope this is the last battle he will have to fight and we want to be married next year. This battle has made our love for one another stronger than ever.
My fiance Shane and I have started dating when I was in sixth grade and he was in eighth grade when we met on the school bus. We dated all through high school but when I left to get to college things got difficult and we split up. When I moved home from school we got back together and have been inseparable! After eleven years of dating in April he said he was going to take me shopping. When we got to the mall he walked into the jewelry store and I was very confused. When he told me to sit down and pick out the ring that I wanted and it was mine it hit me exactly what he meant. I sat in the store and cried and kept saying “Is this serious?” then I finally picked out my beautiful ring. We are planning on getting married on the beach on April 14, 2012. I have been with my fiance for 4 years. We have identical twin girls that are our life. They weren’t planned but they have defined every great moment of our life. It’s hard since we hold a long distance relationship 6 months out of the year. I live 6 months in San Diego with my mother trying to studying and offer something more to my girls and 6 months in Guadalajara, Jalisco (which is where my fiance is from) so he can see his girls. In 2001 we were headed to a friend’s house and jamming out to Aaliyah’s “Girl like You”. It hit us in the car we were in love; I knew Chris was the one for me. I remember that day and feeling like yesterday. 10 years later we are happier than ever but just need to make it official! All I think about is getting married and most important is our family being there! Our grandparents are SO important to us we NEED them at our wedding! His grandmother isn’t doing well and my grandparents just reached 90. I am heartbroken that by the time I can afford it, they may not be here to see us walk down the aisle. They have been there throughout our 10 years and it’s important to them to “give us away”. Chris started working about 2 months ago and I was supporting us while he went to college. I am working but putting myself through college while he relieves the bills. I would be so blessed and honored to have the wedding of my dreams to the high school sweetheart of my dreams. Steven and I met in June of 2008. It didn’t take very long for us to fall in love, we were planning our lives together by that August! We had originally planned on getting married in June of 2010, but in April of that year, a devastating 7.2 earthquake hit our hometown of El Centro, CA. The damage had condemned Christ Community Church, the location I’d always dreamed of getting married in. My mother also worked as a school teacher at this church, so she ended up losing her job that she truly loved so much. We’ve been putting our wedding on hold, but the financial burden has taken a toll on our plans as student loans pile up as Steven and I help support my mother. This gift from you, Kim, would honestly help so much to make our dream wedding a reality!

We met downtown Chicago, on Michigan Ave in front of Walgreens, next door to my job, on my lunch hour! In my eyes it was a one stop shop kind of thing. I didn’t wasn’t looking for a serious relationship at the time and thought it would fun to date, but in his eyes, he struck Gold and new I was the one for him.
After our first date we were un-separable, and the rest is history. We just purchased our first home, and will be heading down the aisle April 27th, 2012! I can’t believe we are at this point in our lives!

He recently moved to St George Utah so we have been constantly traveling back and forth just to see each other for a couple days at a time. My fiance & I have been together for 2 1/2 years. We met at work. So many people were trying to break us up, so I quit so we could be together. We’ve had a lot of ups and downs but through it all our love has grown stronger! He stayed by my side when I discovered I had cervical cancer. He’s always working to provide the best he can for our daughter and allowing me to go to Nursing school. We’ve planned our wedding before, but unfortunately something tragic always happens and the money we had saved up for the wedding gets used on the emergency which has been a death in the family every time!!!
