Anderson Cooper at Wax Figure Unveiling: Is This Really What I Look Like?!
Celebuzz was on hand this morning when Anderson Cooper showed up at Madame Tussauds in NYC to help unveil it's latest wax statue - an eerily spot-on replica of the Silver Fox himself!
Madame Tussauds' crew joined Anderson at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel earlier this year to take over 250 measurements and photographs, with artists later working for over three months to ensure the figure captured his exact style, build, and allure. While Anderson was impressed that his wax twin captures his every detail perfectly, he admitted he was a little upset about one aspect of his statue.
"I used to think I had salt and pepper hair... but seeing this, I realize I have no pepper left!"Anderson couldn't help but poke and prod at his statue, commenting,
"Is this really what I look like? This is what I'll look like when I'm dead."
The award-winning CNN anchor's new daytime talk show Anderson started this week, and with his giggles on full display, the hard-hitting journalist shows his funnier side.
Anderson wants people to see him as an everyday guy, not just a reporter. One glance at his statue's stern, focused expression proved that he's got some work to do. "I think he looks like a jerk. I'm not sure I'd want to hang out with this guy."
Well, maybe a few more spray tanning sessions with Snooki and Anderson will loosen him up a bit! The petite Jersey Shore starlet gave him tanning lessons on Tuesday's show, and tweeted that it may not be just a one time thing.
Sn00ki: @andersoncooper my new tanning buddy! <3
