Michelle Williams: 'I Often Dream of Quitting Acting'
It seems My Week With Marylin starlet Michelle Williams doesn't like a sense of comfort. The 31-year-old actress sat down with Hobo Magazine and was quite candid about how she feels about the whole Hollywood scene.
"I often dream of quitting acting. Walking away and becoming a laundress or a sous chef or maybe writing other people's love letters for a living." Michelle explains, "Clearly, I don't like to be in charge. And thinking of quitting is just keeping going in disguise. When you have options, anything is bearable. It's when a situation is inescapable that it becomes hell."She added:
"It seems to me that as soon as you get good at something, it is a sure sign that it is about to walk out of your life because it ceases to hold your mind and creative energy hostage."A trend throughout her whole lifestyle is that Michelle is constantly seeking that sense of renewal and freshness. When asked about her time filming back in 2008 in Oregon for Wendy and Lucy, Michelle says, "Man, there is nothing like a Portland summer."
Could Michelle make Portland her home though? She doesn't think so.
"As long as I don’t make it my home it stays perfection. I can miss it, I can yearn for it, I can fantasize about it and I can visit it and have the best time."We think although she tosses around the idea of quitting, she won't be leaving Hollywood anytime soon!
